The totally independent, not for profit, alternative festival

eflyer19_1168

Now in our 6th year we are a firm favourite for many festival goers who are looking for something a bit different for their summer. We are entirely independent, voluntarily run and all our proceeds are donated to the regeneration of the Workhouse building itself. That's right, no corporate sponsors, no merciless efforts at increasing our profit margins just a long weekend in Wales that is dedicated purely to having fun.

To help us in our mission this year we have an eclectic line up of music on the all new Main Stage. Our red green and yellow marquee has gone to pastures new and been replaced with a larger outdoor saddlespan stage from our good friends Roustabout. The excellent and quite frequently bizarre Cabaret Tent, fully equipped as ever with a bar serving our own locally produced  Workhouse Ale and cocktails, will be providing festival goers with a slightly different turn of performance. The Electronik Boutique (Dance Tent) gives us the beats through a state of the art Funktion-One sound system to dance our little sheeps wool socks off all weekend. The Kids Area is going to be as fantastic as ever with everything from Circus to Workshops for the whole family. The Green Crafts is a beautiful space to chill out and is once again full of lovely crafty people and innovative environmental ideas to inspire us to live greener lives. The custom made Cinema is back again this year showing award winning international films throughout the weekend. When you need to pamper yourself come and speak to one of our alternative therapists in the Healing Area and choose between reiki, massage or many others. The all new Gallery Bar will also be offering cocktails and is situated next to the recently created Garden of Reflection, another lovely space to come and relax in.

Of course there is much much more going on over the weekend. Take a look at the 'Venues' tag at the top of the page to get a better idea. So much more than just a Music Festival.
